Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aodh McJames could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Brigid Martyn made a huge save. After 15 minutes of play, Lack's Pierson Palmer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Payton Ferguson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Grousehall defense, Pierson Palmer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Payton Ferguson. The Grousehall fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Payton Ferguson should have stopped the shot. Taveon McBjarton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brigid Martyn having to interfere. Grousehall's Payton Ferguson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierson Palmer in the 37th minute of play. Kevis McPaul hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Taveon McBjarton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pierson Palmer made a kick off. Taveon McBjarton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brigid Martyn having to interfere. If Pierson Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aodh McJames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 82 minutes, Taveon McBjarton made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Lack's Brigid Martyn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Grousehall's Payton Ferguson got control of the ball when Colm Callaghan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lack's Pierson Palmer was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 88th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After having played for 91 minutes, Pierson Palmer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lack's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pierson Palmer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Grousehall's Cashel Barrett got a free kick in the 94th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lack walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
