After having played for 6 minutes, Donlevy Frankson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgard Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donlevy Frankson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donlevy Frankson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barry Glen Crowe having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lackamore AFC's Eoin McJames got a free kick in the 13th minute. Binean McBrand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Trevor MaCollin made a huge save. When Turlough Cronin came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Belgard Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Turlough Cronin couldn't finish the play. After 21 minutes, Joseph McJohnny mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belgard Utd and the Lackamore AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, Belgard Utd's Trevor MaCollin got control of the ball when Breanainn Walker tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th minute Donlevy Frankson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barry Glen Crowe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lackamore AFC's Binean McBrand got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trevor MaCollin made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Binean McBrand sent off a good shot on target. Trevor MaCollin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Binean McBrand went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 43 minutes into the match, Belgard Utd's goalkeeper Trevor MaCollin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Binean McBrand. When Bearchan Caffrey came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Lackamore AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bearchan Caffrey couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Binean McBrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Trevor MaCollin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Belgard Utd's Donlevy Frankson got a free kick in the 55th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Belgard Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Binean McBrand came free, but Trevor MaCollin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Binean McBrand's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trevor MaCollin was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Binean McBrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trevor MaCollin having to interfere. In the 69th minute Binean McBrand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trevor MaCollin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Binean McBrand in the 91st minute of play forced Belgard Utd's goalkeeper Trevor MaCollin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Turlough Cronin charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Turlough Cronin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 92 played minutes Belgard Utd got a freekick which was hit by Turlough Cronin.
