Dermot McLiam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Beltany Horgan made a huge save. The supporters of Coorleagh booed when Capnagower AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sean Ramsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dermot McLiams short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Beltany Horgan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Beltany Horgan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dermot McLiam in the 21st minute. With a little luck, Coorleagh's Beltany Horgan got control of the ball when Dermot McLiam tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dermot McLiam got free with Beltany Horgan in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Beltany Horgan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Finian Ryan, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, Coorleagh's Eoghan Kirby got a free kick in the 42nd minute. With a little luck, Coorleagh's Beltany Horgan got control of the ball when Dermot McLiam tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 46 minutes, Gearóid McPhil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coorleagh and the Capnagower AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Capnagower AFC booed when Coorleagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gearóid McPhil didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Finnigan Branson made a kick off. Beagan Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Finian Ryan came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Capnagower AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Finian Ryan couldn't finish the play. Coorleagh's Beltany Horgan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Finian Ryan in the 57th minute of play. Eoghan Kirby hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Coorleagh! In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Capnagower AFC. Bradon McLiam stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Beltany Horgan. 2-0. In the 70th minute Dermot McLiam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beltany Horgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Coorleagh's zone, Dermot McLiam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beltany Horgan came out of the goal and Dermot McLiam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dermot McLiam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beltany Horgan having to interfere. In the 77th minute of the game Gilian McBrand made a throw-in which Beagan Coyle played forward. 84 minutes into the match, Coorleagh's goal looked a bit too open when Finian Ryan came free, but Beltany Horgan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beltany Horgan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Finian Ryan, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After a rather tough play, Capnagower AFC's Finian Ryan got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 96th minute, Dermot McLiam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beltany Horgan was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 99 minutes into the match, Coorleagh's goal looked a bit too open when Finian Ryan came free, but Beltany Horgan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Capnagower AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
