The audience thought a goal was coming when Breenan McPhilip got free with Herygh Hunt in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Breenan McPhilip scored 2-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herygh Hunt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Herygh Hunt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyle McNamara in the 19th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Breenan McPhilip got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cloughjordan Utd's Brion Frankson got a free kick in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, Effickmore Utd's Bourns Morrison got a free kick in the 29th minute. Herygh Hunt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boyle McNamara, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Bradaigh Tierney's late challenge caught a Cloughjordan Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boyle McNamara to strike the kick off in the second half. If Breenan McPhilip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 54 played minutes Effickmore Utd got a freekick which was hit by Bradley Willson. In the 55th minute Boyle McNamara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herygh Hunt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th match minute, Effickmore Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beag Gough to maneuver through the defense. Boyle McNamara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Herygh Hunt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Breenan McPhilip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cloughjordan Utd's Boyle McNamara managed to work through Effickmore Utd's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Boyle McNamara dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. If Breenan McPhilip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Ultan Delaney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cloughjordan Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Effickmore Utd the free kick. A collision led to Cloughjordan Utd getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Ultan Delaney hit a great ball.
