A very good chance. 8 minutes into the game, Ryon McAlphie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bunglass's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monaghan AFC the free kick. After 8 played minutes Bunglass got a freekick which was hit by Ryon McAlphie. If Ferdia McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Monaghan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ardán McSteve came free, but Braoin Prunty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th match minute, Bunglass was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shiel McLian to maneuver through the defense. Braoin Prunty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ardán McSteve in the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th match minute, Monaghan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bow Gollogley to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdia McWill in the 24th minute of play forced Bunglass's goalkeeper Todd McWill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daithi Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braoin Prunty having to interfere. Braoin Prunty made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Daithi Hughes sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the game, Shiel McLian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bunglass's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monaghan AFC the free kick. After 35 minutes of play, Monaghan AFC's Ferdia McWill made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Todd McWill was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Bunglass booed when Monaghan AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birr McJames didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daithi Hughes got free with Braoin Prunty in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Daithi Hughes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 56 minutes, Daithi Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bunglass's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daithi Hughes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferdia McWill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Todd McWill made a huge save. The supporters of Monaghan AFC booed when Bunglass was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berrin Callaghan didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Blaine Quinnless from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Todd McWill's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Braoin Prunty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ardán McSteve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arthur Tracy hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Bailey McFrank took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Braoin Prunty. Monaghan AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. During the 73rd minute of the match Shiel McLian completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Shiel McLian a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 74th match minute, Bunglass was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shiel McLian to maneuver through the defense. Braoin Prunty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daithi Hughes, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Braoin Prunty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berrin Callaghan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Braoin Prunty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berrin Callaghan in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Bunglass were awarded a corner. Bailey McFrank went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Bunglass's corner Bailey McFrank fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Braoin Prunty quite easily take care of the ball. Braoin Prunty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daithi Hughes in the 87th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Monaghan AFC defense, Berrin Callaghan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Braoin Prunty. The Monaghan AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Braoin Prunty should have stopped the shot. Monaghan AFC's Braoin Prunty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ardán McSteve in the 91st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Daithi Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bunglass's supporters rose to their feet, but Daithi Hughes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Braoin Prunty breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
