After some careless play in the Culmullin Utd defense, Breenan McPhilip kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Blathmacc McPhilip. The Culmullin Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Blathmacc McPhilip should have stopped the shot. Blathmacc McPhilip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boyle McNamara in the 11th minute of play. Boyle McNamara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Breenan McPhilip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Blathmacc McPhilip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blathmacc McPhilip came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cloughjordan Utd's Breenan McPhilip. But to his dismay, Breenan McPhilip quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Blathmacc McPhilip showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyle McNamara in the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Cloughjordan Utd's Breenan McPhilip sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Blathmacc McPhilip narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leon O'Neill kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Blathmacc McPhilip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boyle McNamara in the 36th minute of play. Boyle McNamara might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Blathmacc McPhilip. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Boyle McNamara ran back to his position shaking his head. If Boyle McNamara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breenan McPhilip fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blathmacc McPhilip having to interfere. Boyle McNamara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Blathmacc McPhilip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 minutes of play, Cloughjordan Utd's Boyle McNamara made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Blathmacc McPhilip was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Boyle McNamara to make the kick off. Blathmacc McPhilip was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Boyle McNamara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Boyle McNamara really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Blathmacc McPhilip made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Breenan McPhilip sent off a good shot on target. Leon O'Neill hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Cloughjordan Utd's Boyle McNamara slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Blathmacc McPhilip. That made the score 0-6 after 66 minutes of play. Blathmacc McPhilip didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Breenan McPhilip went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. In the 78th minute, Breenan McPhilip ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Blathmacc McPhilip was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Boyle McNamara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloughjordan Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Boyle McNamara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blathmacc McPhilip breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Cloughjordan Utd booed when Culmullin Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradain Rogers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Culmullin Utd's Blathmacc McPhilip proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Culmullin Utd from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Breenan McPhilip managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloughjordan Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Breenan McPhilip was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blathmacc McPhilip breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Culmullin Utd fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cloughjordan Utd were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
