Conn Doyle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 28 played minutes Knockboha got a freekick which was hit by Derin Hunt. Boyle McNamara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conn Doyle having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Knockboha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevion Branson to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Knockboha's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Breenan McPhilip fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Boyle McNamara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kevion Branson kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Boyle McNamara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Conn Doyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Breenan McPhilip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Terrence Dimson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Cloughjordan Utd's Gealan Lavine got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After some careless play in the Knockboha defense, Breenan McPhilip kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Conn Doyle. The Knockboha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Conn Doyle should have stopped the shot. Breenan McPhilip recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Boyle McNamara put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Conn Doyle. Conn Doyle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boyle McNamara in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Kevion Branson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Terrence Dimson struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Robin McTommy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knockboha. 71 minutes into the match, Knockboha's goal looked a bit too open when Braden Colwell came free, but Conn Doyle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 played minutes Knockboha got a freekick which was hit by Derin Hunt. Conn Doyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breenan McPhilip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boyle McNamara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conn Doyle having to interfere. Boyle McNamara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conn Doyle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Conn Doyle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Boyle McNamara went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Breenan McPhilip scored 5-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Conn Doyle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 88 minutes into the match, Branigan Frankson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conn Doyle. Knockboha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Branigan Frankson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Kevion Branson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 99th minute Cloughjordan Utd were awarded a corner. Dinny McFrank went to the cornerflag to take it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cloughjordan Utd fully deserved thier win.
