The wind increased when Bradaigh Tierney made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Monaghan AFC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Pembroke Beckett hit a great ball. Braoin Prunty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradaigh Tierney in the 67th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Effickmore Utd's goalkeeper Herygh Hunt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rian Morrison. A very good chance. Enda John charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enda John the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Monaghan AFC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
