Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Douglas Coyle took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute, Douglas Coyle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Burtonport fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Nolyn Horgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fionntán Moran in the 13th minute of play. Ballynasrah FC's Jarlath Frankson got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jarlath Frankson hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 20 minutes, Gearard Hamilton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballynasrah FC and the Burtonport players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 20 played minutes Ballynasrah FC got a freekick which was hit by Gearard Hamilton. Nolyn Horgan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fionntán Moran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Ballynasrah FC's Aubrey McTom got control of the ball when Douglas Coyle tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarlath Frankson in the 32nd minute of play forced Burtonport's goalkeeper Nolyn Horgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fionntán Moran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46thth minute of the game Jarlath Frankson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Burtonport's Nolyn Horgan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jarlath Frankson made a kick off. If Jarlath Frankson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fionntán Moran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nolyn Horgan having to interfere. When Ballynasrah FC's Jarlath Frankson in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Burtonport's goalie prevented a goal. Bearnad Branson kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Fionntán Moran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarlath Frankson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Nolyn Horgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ballynasrah FC's zone, Douglas Coyle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aubrey McTom came out of the goal and Douglas Coyle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Douglas Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burtonport's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Coyle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aubrey McTom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gearard Hamilton was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. In the 66th minute, Gearard Hamilton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 73 minutes, Douglas Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burtonport's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Coyle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aubrey McTom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Coyle in the 75th minute of play. Douglas Coyle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aubrey McTom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Aubrey McTom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bannon Hughes in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Bannon Hughes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aubrey McTom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Coyle in the 88th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Fionntán Moran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballynasrah FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fionntán Moran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nolyn Horgan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aubrey McTom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Coyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ballynasrah FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Burtonport.
