Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Boyle McNamara started the match with the kick off. Brecc Palmer kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Boyle McNamara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Beanon McWilliam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breenan McPhilip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Boyle McNamara came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Cloughjordan Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boyle McNamara couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute, Breenan McPhilip left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cloughjordan Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Breenan McPhilip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Brecc Palmer hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. If Breenan McPhilip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Boyle McNamara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Devlin Colwell hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Breenan McPhilip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 37 minutes, Breenan McPhilip managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cloughjordan Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breenan McPhilip was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Beanon McWilliam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyle McNamara in the 38th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tomfarney Utd's zone, Boyle McNamara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beanon McWilliam came out of the goal and Boyle McNamara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Breenan McPhilip took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beanon McWilliam. Beanon McWilliam dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The Tomfarney Utd players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cloughjordan Utd were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bressal McJohn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cloughjordan Utd's Boyle McNamara got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 56 minutes, Devlin Colwell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tomfarney Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Devlin Colwell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Breenan McPhilip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomfarney Utd's Beanon McWilliam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Tomfarney Utd from getting a goal against them. Beanon McWilliam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boyle McNamara in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boyle McNamara in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beanon McWilliam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brecc Palmer kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Beanon McWilliam made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Breenan McPhilip sent off a good shot on target. Breenan McPhilip's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beanon McWilliam read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Devlin Colwell's late challenge caught a Cloughjordan Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Devlin Colwell helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tomfarney Utd's Devlin Colwell got a free kick in the 96th minute. Cloughjordan Utd's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
