In the 21stth minute of the game Beothach Deery who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Burtonport's Nolyn Horgan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute Douglas Coyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blathmacc McPhilip saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Douglas Coyle notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Culmullin Utd's Blathmacc McPhilip. The supporters of Culmullin Utd booed when Burtonport was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bearnad Branson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bannon Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Blathmacc McPhilip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Douglas Coyle came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Burtonport fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Coyle couldn't finish the play.
