The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gearroid Molloy during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Braden Mulvihill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Roy McJohnny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robin Gallagher's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kevion McPeter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Cockow Utd's Kevion McPeter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Hughes in the 15th minute of play. If Robin Gallagher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ryan Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevion McPeter having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Ryan Hughes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kevion McPeter was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 31st match minute, Cockow Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bevan McFrank to maneuver through the defense. Kevion McPeter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Gallagher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roy McJohnny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beag Prunty in the 35th minute of play. With a little luck, Kilmartin's Roy McJohnny got control of the ball when Braden Mulvihill tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beag Prunty in the 39th minute of play forced Kilmartin's goalkeeper Roy McJohnny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Kilmartin's Gearroid Molloy got a free kick in the 39th minute. Braden Mulvihill kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Críostóir Dunne charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Críostóir Dunne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Beag Prunty made the kick off in the second half. Kilmartin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Braden Mulvihill was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 68 minutes, Torrian Matthews mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cockow Utd and the Kilmartin players grew even worse after the yellow card. Binne Hunt shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Kilmartin were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Cockow Utd to leave the ground with a draw.
