Kevion McPeter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ailín McStephen in the 15th minute of the match. Rannal McTom scored 0-4 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kevion McPeter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Tadhg Murphy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drommahane AF's supporters rose to their feet, but Tadhg Murphy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kevion McPeter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute, Rannal McTom left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Drommahane AF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Drommahane AF's Rannal McTom got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rannal McTom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevion McPeter having to interfere. The Cockow Utd players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Drommahane AF were winning 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rannal McTom to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Branagain Johnson threw the ball into play from the sideline. Drommahane AF's Dermot Holt quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Cockow Utd's Kevion McPeter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rannal McTom in the 54th minute of play. If Bercnan Grant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the game, Críostóir Dunne threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cockow Utd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Rannal McTom scored to the left of an out of position Kevion McPeter, making the score, 0-7. Drommahane AF's Dermot Holt quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Branagain Johnson, made in the 89th minute of the game. In the 89th minute, Thurl Taylor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Biddy Ramsey's shot from long distance in the 90th minute was not bad at all, but Cockow Utd's Kevion McPeter knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Rannal McTom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Kevion McPeter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Drommahane AF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
