The referee ignored Belalt FC's protests and gave Beatty Ryan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Belalt FC's Beatty Ryan got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kilmartin's goalkeeper Roy McJohnny, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 38 played minutes Belalt FC got a freekick which was hit by Nolen Mulvihill. After 39 played minutes, Kilmartin's Binne Hunt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Harry Johnson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kilmartin reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robin Gallagher in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harry Johnson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Kilmartin's Gil McIan got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

Roy McJohnny stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beatty Ryan's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. 67 minutes into the game, Robin Gallagher recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Harry Johnson. Robin Gallagher showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Harry Johnson made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Gearroid Molloy sent off a good shot on target. Bairthmead McWill's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roy McJohnny read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Harry Johnson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Gallagher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 played minutes Kilmartin got a freekick which was hit by Gearroid Molloy. Beatty Ryan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy McJohnny having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Kilmartin's Robin Gallagher dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kilmartin had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
