Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Piers Martyn made the kick off and thus started the match. Baird Gough succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 4th playminute. In the 11thth minute of the game Donal Mulvihill who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Killyon's Lewis Kelly was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. George McIan made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Baird Gough sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th minute, Piers Martyn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lewis Kelly was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Lugnadeffa's George McIan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Lugnadeffa from getting a goal against them. Killyon's Lewis Kelly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rowen Todd in the 32nd minute of play. In the 37th minute, Piers Martyn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lugnadeffa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 40th match minute, Lugnadeffa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donal Mulvihill to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berkeley Palmer in the 41st minute of play forced Lugnadeffa's goalkeeper George McIan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baird Gough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Killyon's Baird Gough got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Baird Gough came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Killyon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baird Gough couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Berkeley Palmer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Berkeley Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. George McIan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baird Gough, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piers Martyn in the 59th minute of play forced Killyon's goalkeeper Lewis Kelly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rowen Todds short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Lewis Kelly to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 62nd minute, Flann Rutherford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute, Rowen Todd got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piers Martyn in the 69th minute of play forced Killyon's goalkeeper Lewis Kelly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for Lugnadeffa. Louie Silke stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lewis Kelly. 1-3. George McIan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berkeley Palmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Piers Martyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lewis Kelly having to interfere. Lugnadeffa's Piers Martyn got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute of the match Brickeen McJames sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but George McIan skillfully saved the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lugnadeffa eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
