Banan Doherty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trevor McGlynn, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half Annaleck were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Barnaby McLiam stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Annaleck getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. The crowd rose to their feet as Annaleck's Baptist Martyn slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Banan Doherty. That made the score 0-4 after 88 minutes of play. 93 minutes into the game, Brin McJohn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barnacahoge FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Annaleck the free kick. The supporters of Annaleck booed when Barnacahoge FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brin McJohn didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Annaleck eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
