Becc Cooney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 16 played minutes Fergus AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aodh Todd. The supporters of Lugnadeffa booed when Fergus AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Ghee didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quinton Cassin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Toran Moran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Quinton Cassin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rylie Dimson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George McIan having to interfere. Boyne McWillie hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 27th match minute, Lugnadeffa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boyne McWillie to maneuver through the defense. Rylie Dimson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 33 played minutes Lugnadeffa got a freekick which was hit by Donal Mulvihill. After 36 minutes of play Fergus AFC's Becc Cooney was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Becc Cooney kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The supporters of Lugnadeffa booed when Fergus AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aodh Todd didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg George McIan managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Fergus AFC's Rylie Dimson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Boyne McWillie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toran Moran having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Rylie Dimson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving George McIan. That made the score 2-0 in the 46 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Boyne McWillie made a kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Boyne McWillie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lugnadeffa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boyne McWillie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Fergus AFC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Rowen McWilliam hit a great ball. Boyne McWillie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Toran Moran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rylie Dimson struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. George McIan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fergus AFC. After 67 played minutes Lugnadeffa got a freekick which was hit by Boyne McWillie. After a defensive mix-up in Lugnadeffa's zone, Rylie Dimson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George McIan came out of the goal and Rylie Dimson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the game, Rylie Dimson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. George McIan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rylie Dimson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. George McIan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Jack Ghee was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fergus AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lugnadeffa the free kick. In the 79th minute, Jack Ghee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donal Mulvihill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toran Moran having to interfere. Boyne McWillie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Toran Moran made a huge save.
