Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Beag Prunty kicked off to start the match. If Berkeley Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Killyon's David Caffrey got a free kick in the 8th minute. Cockow Utd's Kevion McPeter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berkeley Palmer in the 14th minute of play. Beag Prunty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Lewis Kelly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torrian Matthews hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Baird Gough recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Berkeley Palmer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kevion McPeter, 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, Killyon's Baird Gough sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kevion McPeter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lewis Kelly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beag Prunty, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 40th minute, Berkeley Palmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Basil Hamilton hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.
The wind increased when Berkeley Palmer made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Berkeley Palmer in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevion McPeter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thurl Taylor during the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braden Mulvihill got free with Lewis Kelly in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kevion McPeter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baird Gough in the 60th minute of play. After 60 minutes, Baoithin Keegan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Killyon and the Cockow Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Killyon getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Baoithin Keegan hit a great ball. After 66 played minutes Killyon got a freekick which was hit by Berkeley Palmer. Beag Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felim McLian hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Cockow Utd's Torrian Matthews tried to score from far away in the 74th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beag Prunty in the 76th minute of play forced Killyon's goalkeeper Lewis Kelly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Baird Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cockow Utd's Kevion McPeter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baird Gough in the 81st minute of play. After 83 played minutes Cockow Utd got a freekick which was hit by Braden Mulvihill. After a rather tough play, Cockow Utd's Críostóir Dunne got a free kick in the 88th minute. Cockow Utd's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
