Fergus AFC's Toran Moran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Rito in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Fergus AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Marek Zuraw came free, but Toran Moran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toran Moran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Rito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute Mullanmoree were awarded a corner. Brine Gallagher went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 13th minute Becc Cooney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donlevy Moran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 30th play minutes Marcos Rito shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Toran Moran and just under the crossbar into goal. Marcos Rito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Toran Moran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mullanmoree's Kieran Delaney got a free kick in the 38th minute. Toran Moran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Rito in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donavan McPaul during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marek Zuraw's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Toran Moran firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 93rd minute, Mullanmoree's Marek Zuraw ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Toran Moran. Toran Moran yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Mullanmoree's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
