Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Beag Mylers short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Alan Caffey to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alan Caffey came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Kiniska's Birr Mullan. But to his dismay, Birr Mullan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Alan Caffey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Birr Mullan in the 10th minute. Alan Caffey made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Birr Mullan sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Donelle Kirby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kiniska's supporters rose to their feet, but Donelle Kirby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alan Caffey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Kiniska's Alan Caffey threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Donelle Kirby, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Birr Mullan hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Bevan McDonald hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Kiniska's Fiachra Colwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darrin Colwell in the 22nd minute of play. Alan Caffey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donelle Kirby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes of play, Castlegar's Darrin Colwell made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fiachra Colwell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Birr Mullan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Caffey having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donelle Kirby in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alan Caffey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Castlegar's zone, Donelle Kirby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alan Caffey came out of the goal and Donelle Kirby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Birr Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute Donelle Kirby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Caffey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Donelle Kirby made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Donelle Kirby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Caffey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Donelle Kirby came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Kiniska fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donelle Kirby couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Donelle Kirby's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alan Caffey was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Donelle Kirby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the game, Donelle Kirby was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kiniska's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castlegar the free kick. Donelle Kirby hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. When Kiniska's Donelle Kirby in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Castlegar's goalie prevented a goal. In the 82nd minute, Donelle Kirby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donelle Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Caffey having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Birr Mullan notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Castlegar's Alan Caffey. Alan Caffey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alan Caffey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birr Mullan, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When Donelle Kirby came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Kiniska fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donelle Kirby couldn't finish the play. Alan Caffey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donelle Kirby in the 93rd minute of play. Kiniska walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
