Caolán Martyn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Fergal Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Bairthmead McGlenn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dromgarriff's supporters rose to their feet, but Bairthmead McGlenn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breaghdha Molloy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brannon Keegan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Conleth Holt's late challenge caught a Dromgarriff's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conleth Holt helped the player get up and apologised. After 35 played minutes Drumbeg AFC got a freekick which was hit by Conleth Holt. Bairthmead McGlenn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 38 minutes, Bairthmead McGlenn made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Drumbeg AFC's Brannon Keegan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dromgarriff's Fergal Barrett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Dromgarriff from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Breffni Willson was the one to do the kick off. In the 91st minute Caolán Martyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fergal Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
