Drumbeg AFC's Conleth Holt suffered a sore thigh after 9 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Banvan Dunne charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Banvan Dunne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Drumbeg AFC's Bard Colwell couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Glenmaquin AFC. Brannon Keegan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 13th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brendon Ramsey got free with Brannon Keegan in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Berrin John fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brannon Keegan having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Drumbeg AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bin Benson to maneuver through the defense. Breffni Willson's late challenge caught a Glenmaquin AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Breffni Willson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th minute, Breffni Willson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brannon Keegan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berrin John in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th match minute, Drumbeg AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breffni Willson to maneuver through the defense. After 45 played minutes Glenmaquin AFC's Brendon Ramsey stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Brannon Keegan stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Drumbeg AFC of the goal. 49 minutes into the match, Drumbeg AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Berrin John came free, but Brannon Keegan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Berrin John was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Berrin John shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brannon Keegan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Glenmaquin AFC's Berrin John nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brannon Keegan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Brannon Keegan came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Glenmaquin AFC's Brendon Ramsey. But to his dismay, Brendon Ramsey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Bodibeve McPeter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Brannon Keegan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Healey Deery came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Drumbeg AFC's Caolán Martyn. But to his dismay, Caolán Martyn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Breffni Willson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glenmaquin AFC's Healey Deery proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Glenmaquin AFC from getting a goal against them. After 85 minutes, Ryland Bayes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glenmaquin AFC and the Drumbeg AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ryland Bayes kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Caolán Martyn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Glenmaquin AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
