Braon McJames received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Brian Ramsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 minutes, Aodh Johnson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monasteroris FC and the Sutton AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aodh Johnson kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. With a little luck, Monasteroris FC's Brian Ramsey got control of the ball when Bohannon Costello tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute, Sutton AFC's Coileán Delaney dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The supporters of Sutton AFC booed when Monasteroris FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bardan Hughes didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Brian Ramsey came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Sutton AFC's Healey McBrandon. But to his dismay, Healey McBrandon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Monasteroris FC's Bras Dillon got a free kick in the 59th minute. Aodh Johnson was shown his second yellow card after 65 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 65th match minute, Monasteroris FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aodh Johnson to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute Brendan Holt managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Brian Ramsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Coileán Delaney, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Monasteroris FC's Brian Ramsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braon McJames in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Monasteroris FC's goal looked a bit too open when Healey McBrandon came free, but Brian Ramsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 minutes, Ryon Callaghan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monasteroris FC and the Sutton AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Brian Ramsey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 95 minutes into the match, Braon McJames notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Monasteroris FC's Brian Ramsey. Brian Ramsey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
