But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blathmacc Scully couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brigid Perth in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heremon Lavine saved Stroove FC from getting behind. From close distance Blathmacc Scully pressed in the 1-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 12 minutes into the game. In the 15th minute Brenainn McPhil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roordan Branson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breandan McBjarton's late challenge caught a Stroove FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Breandan McBjarton helped the player get up and apologised. Breandan McBjarton kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Stroove FC's Heremon Lavine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brigid Perth in the 20th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Stroove FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brenainn McPhil to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Heremon Lavine managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Kilmeedy AFC's Blathmacc Scully fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Heremon Lavine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brigid Perth in the 36th minute of play. Stroove FC's Heremon Lavine proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Stroove FC from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Stroove FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kilmeedy AFC:s goal. 46 minutes into the game, Blathmacc Scully cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Heremon Lavine was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brigid Perth stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Blathmacc Scully recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blathmacc Scully sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Blathmacc Scully managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilmeedy AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Blathmacc Scully was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heremon Lavine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Heremon Lavine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brigid Perth in the 61st minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Stroove FC's goal looked a bit too open when Brigid Perth came free, but Heremon Lavine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brigid Perth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heremon Lavine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Heremon Lavine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blathmacc Scully, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heremon Lavine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blathmacc Scully, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The throw-in from Brogan McTommy in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Kilmeedy AFC's Blamhac Scully. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bercnan McPhilip during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of Stroove FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kilmeedy AFC:s goal. When Brogan McTommy fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stroove FC's protests and gave Brogan McTommy a yellow card for diving instead. Daron Colwell might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Heremon Lavine. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daron Colwell ran back to his position shaking his head. Blathmacc Scully received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Heremon Lavine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
