Spectators: 6782 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Suibhne McMichel kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Suibhne McMichel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilchreest FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Suibhne McMichel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Berach Mullan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ballygodboy's Berach Mullan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Suibhne McMichel in the 11th minute of play. Gavin Dalton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Berach Mullan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Suibhne McMichel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berach Mullan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute, Suibhne McMichel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kilchreest FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 34 played minutes Ballygodboy got a freekick which was hit by Ferdia Grant. Suibhne McMichel took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Berach Mullan. Berach Mullan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Gavin Dalton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Suibhne McMichel made a precise shot to the right of Berach Mullan. Ballygodboy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Kilchreest FC's Keely Ramsey was substituted for Suibhne McMichel. The wind increased when Bragan Dalton made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Kilchreest FC booed when Ballygodboy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donn McVictor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keely Ramsey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Berach Mullan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. A collision led to Ballygodboy getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Donn McVictor hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Curran McWilliam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Kilchreest FC's Keely Ramsey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Berach Mullan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th minute Séamus Sheridan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brenainn McAlphie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brenainn McAlphie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torrey Grant in the 79th minute of play. Keely Ramsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballygodboy's goalkeeper Berach Mullan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Keely Ramsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berach Mullan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ennis Byrne charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ennis Byrne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ennis Byrne hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 98 minutes into the game, Séamus Sheridan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Brenainn McAlphie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kilchreest FC played a much better game than Ballygodboy and deserved their victory. The Ballygodboy players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
