Spectators: 6772 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 0) Jarlath McCready started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Heremon Lavine came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Granard's Justin Mulvihill. But to his dismay, Justin Mulvihill quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 8thth minute of the game Jarlath McCready who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stroove FC's Heremon Lavine was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Justin Mulvihill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heremon Lavine having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brogan McTommy during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stroove FC's Brogan McTommy got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 19 played minutes Stroove FC got a freekick which was hit by Bracken McPhilip. 20 minutes into the match, Stroove FC's goal looked a bit too open when Justin Mulvihill came free, but Heremon Lavine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarlath McCready scored 0-3 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Heremon Lavine, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justin Mulvihill in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heremon Lavine prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarlath McCready in the 27th minute of play forced Stroove FC's goalkeeper Heremon Lavine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Granard's Donell McJohnny got a free kick in the 28th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Granard's goalkeeper Boyne McJon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alan Frankson. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Raymun Harkin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stroove FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raymun Harkin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boyne McJon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Justin Mulvihill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justin Mulvihill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brenainn McPhil made a kick off. Jarlath McCready sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 57th minute, Donell McJohnny sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Stroove FC's Heremon Lavine didn't even have to move. In the 64th minute, Justin Mulvihill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jarlath McCready received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Heremon Lavine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justin Mulvihill got free with Heremon Lavine in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Raymun Harkin fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stroove FC's protests and gave Raymun Harkin a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Stroove FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Raymun Harkin hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Jarlath McCready got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Heremon Lavine made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justin Mulvihill in the 76th minute. Jarlath McCready sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jarlath McCready had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Stroove FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Brogan McDonald hit a great ball. After 85 played minutes, Granard's Donell McJohnny shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Heremon Lavine came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Granard reached it. Justin Mulvihill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heremon Lavine having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jarlath McCready in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heremon Lavine prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 95 minutes of play Stroove FC's Brogan McTommy was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Brogan McTommy kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Stroove FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Granard were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
