Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Brigid Perth made the kick off and thus started the match. With a little luck, Kilmeedy AFC's Roordan Branson got control of the ball when Aubrey Ryan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aubrey Ryan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Roordan Branson made a huge save. After 12 minutes, Blathmacc Scully made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Granard's Boyne McJon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Boyne McJon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blathmacc Scully, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Kilmeedy AFC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Blamhac Scully hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Justin Mulvihill left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Granard fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Phillip McOliver hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 30 played minutes Kilmeedy AFC got a freekick which was hit by Braonain Tierney. Daron Colwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Granard's goal looked a bit too open when Braonain Tierney came free, but Boyne McJon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boyne McJon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blathmacc Scully's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Kilmeedy AFC's goalkeeper Roordan Branson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aubrey Ryan. Granard's Boyne McJon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brigid Perth in the 44th minute of play. Flannery Sheridan took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boyne McJon. Boyne McJon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.

The wind increased when Jarlath McCready made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Aubrey Ryan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Granard fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Roordan Branson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justin Mulvihill, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kilmeedy AFC's zone, Aubrey Ryan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roordan Branson came out of the goal and Aubrey Ryan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Blathmacc Scully had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boyne McJon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brigid Perth in the 66th minute of the match. Boyne McJon made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Daron Colwell sent off a good shot on target. Blathmacc Scully in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Boyne McJon, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Roordan Branson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justin Mulvihill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Granard's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daron Colwell fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Kilmeedy AFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Troy McFrank hit a great ball. Roordan Branson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donell McJohnny in the 81st minute of the match. A collision led to Kilmeedy AFC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Flannery Sheridan hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Blathmacc Scully fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Despite being the better team, Kilmeedy AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
