Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jarlath McCready kicked off to start the match. Justin Mulvihill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Tathan Byrne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tathan Byrne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jarlath McCready's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Tathan Byrne was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Jarlath McCready capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jarlath McCready really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Corrigeenroe's zone, Justin Mulvihill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tathan Byrne came out of the goal and Justin Mulvihill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brady Horgan kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Boyne McJon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bat McPhilip in the 24th minute of the match. Tathan Byrne didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Justin Mulvihill went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Jarlath McCready received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Tathan Byrne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Antaine McJon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corrigeenroe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Granard the free kick. Antaine McJon hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Corrigeenroe's Tathan Byrne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarlath McCready in the 32nd minute of play. After 35 minutes, Taveon McBrand mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Granard and the Corrigeenroe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Taveon McBrand hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. If Justin Mulvihill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bat McPhilip made a kick off. Binne Taylor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boyne McJon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bat McPhilip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 minutes, Daniel McDecland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corrigeenroe and the Granard players grew even worse after the yellow card. 54 minutes into the game, one of Corrigeenroe:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Granard. Donell McJohnny stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tathan Byrne. 3-0. If Binne Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Corrigeenroe's Bat McPhilip got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Corrigeenroe fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! Tathan Byrne went to the wrong direction when Donell McJohnny was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Bat McPhilip fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyne McJon having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Bat McPhilip got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Justin Mulvihill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Binne Taylor got free with Boyne McJon in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tathan Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarlath McCready, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Scothine Deans kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Bat McPhilip took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Boyne McJon to make any attempt to save it. In the 93rd minute, Aubrey Ryan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corrigeenroe's Daniel McDecland couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 94th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Granard. Granard were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Corrigeenroe for a fine match.
