Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Bil Benson got free with Reagan McNamara in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joshua McStephen 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reagan McNamara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Joseph Harkin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonathan McPeter went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan McPeter in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joseph Harkin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reagan McNamara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joshua McStephen , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Bil Benson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 31st minute, Bras McCready got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Clonegal defense, Bras McCready kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joseph Harkin. The Clonegal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joseph Harkin should have stopped the shot. Bil Benson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Reagan McNamara made a huge save. Jonathan McPeter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joshua McStephen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Reagan McNamara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joshua McStephen was the one to do the kick off. When Jonathan McPeter came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Donagheumper fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan McPeter couldn't finish the play. Joshua McStephen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Joshua McStephen came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Clonegal fans jumped to their feet. Clonegal's Joseph Harkin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Clonegal from getting a goal against them. Jonathan McPeter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 79 minutes, Bil Benson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clonegal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bil Benson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bil Benson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Joshua McStephen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan McPeter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keegan McVictor hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The Donagheumper players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
