Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kilnacrew FC's Thomas McFrancise started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Barrie Palmers short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Baptist Lester to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Donn Todd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bret McTommy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomas McFrancise might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baptist Lester. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thomas McFrancise ran back to his position shaking his head. Joseph Quinnless fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baptist Lester having to interfere. Bricin Murphy charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bricin Murphy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bricin Murphy hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute of the match Edward McBjarton sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donn Todd skillfully saved the ball. Bren Gillmour kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Baptist Lester stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas McFrancise's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Baptist Lester successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Thomas McFrancise put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Baptist Lester. Joseph Quinnless fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baptist Lester having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joseph Quinnless in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baptist Lester prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th match minute, Killycross was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bren Gillmour to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 39 minutes, Thomas McFrancise managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kilnacrew FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas McFrancise was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thomas McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baptist Lester having to interfere. Joseph Quinnless received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Baptist Lester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Bret McTommy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donn Todd. Kilnacrew FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bret McTommy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henry Mullan to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Kilnacrew FC's Bairne Gough got a free kick in the 54th minute. After a rather tough play, Kilnacrew FC's Jack Ryan got a free kick in the 57th minute. Donn Todd made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bret McTommy in the 58th minute. Kilnacrew FC's Joseph Quinnless got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute Henry Mullan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donn Todd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joseph Quinnless had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kilnacrew FC's Donn Todd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Mullan in the 79th minute of play. Thomas McFrancise recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kilnacrew FC's Donn Todd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Mullan in the 82nd minute of play. Thomas McFrancise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Kilnacrew FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Killycross to win.
