Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 5thth minute of the game Fergus Hughes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Killycross's Baptist Lester was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Killycross's Dillon Tierney got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute Fergus Hughes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baptist Lester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bret McTommy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Drumoghill's Quinton McJohn got a free kick in the 13th minute. Harley McWill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Mullan, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Bret McTommy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Harley McWill made a huge save. Harley McWill was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Henry Mullan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Henry Mullan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 20 minutes of play, Drumoghill's Fergus Hughes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baptist Lester was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bartley Lester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emmet Brennan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baptist Lester having to interfere. Beccan McPhil scored 1-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baptist Lester, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Drumoghill's goalkeeper Harley McWill had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bret McTommy. 44 minutes into the game, Henry Mullan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Harley McWill. Henry Mullan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henry Mullan was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Killycross booed when Drumoghill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmet Brennan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute Bret McTommy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harley McWill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harley McWill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dillon Tierney in the 53rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Drumoghill defense, Bartley Lester kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harley McWill. The Drumoghill fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harley McWill should have stopped the shot. 57 minutes into the match, Killycross's goalkeeper Baptist Lester had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fergus Hughes. After 59 minutes, Emmet Brennan made it 3-4 with a short kick to the right side. Killycross's Baptist Lester tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute, Bret McTommy made a precise shot to the right of Harley McWill. Drumoghill's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-5. Baptist Lester made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fergus Hughes in the 70th minute. If Beccan McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Fergus Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drumoghill's supporters rose to their feet, but Fergus Hughes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baptist Lester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Drumoghill defense, Bartley Lester kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harley McWill. The Drumoghill fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harley McWill should have stopped the shot. Baptist Lester came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Drumoghill's Emmet Brennan. But to his dismay, Emmet Brennan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Emmet Brennan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drumoghill's supporters rose to their feet, but Emmet Brennan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baptist Lester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute, Emmet Brennan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emmet Brennan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baptist Lester read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Bartley Lester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Harley McWill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Drumoghill could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Killycross throughout the match.
