Enda Hughes charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enda Hughes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Doornane Utd got a freekick which was hit by Enda Hughes. In the 8th minute, Glen Hamilton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torey McVictor struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Theodore Walker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Courtown. Theodore Walker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torey McVictor's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Torey McVictor had several of the Doornane Utd's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Theodore Walker as he didn't even see the shot coming. The crowd rose to their feet as Torey McVictor kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Theodore Walker. That made the score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. Beehan McBjarton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Banbhan Mulvihill, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Banbhan Mulvihill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danann Doherty's late challenge caught a Doornane Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danann Doherty helped the player get up and apologised. Beehan McBjarton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Banbhan Mulvihill in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torey McVictor in the 49th minute of play forced Doornane Utd's goalkeeper Theodore Walker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Torey McVictor was the one to do the kick off. If Banbhan Mulvihill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Torey McVictor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Theodore Walker. Doornane Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Torey McVictor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Doornane Utd's Banbhan Mulvihill got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Courtown getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Danann Doherty hit a great ball. Rourke Quinnless fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beehan McBjarton having to interfere. Fachtna Glen Crowe might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Theodore Walker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fachtna Glen Crowe ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Doornane Utd defense, Torey McVictor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theodore Walker. The Doornane Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theodore Walker should have stopped the shot. Enda Hughes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Beehan McBjarton. Courtown's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rourke Quinnless blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Beehan McBjarton having to make a save. Banbhan Mulvihill struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Beehan McBjarton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Doornane Utd. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Courtown's goalkeeper Beehan McBjarton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 90th match minute, Courtown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danann Doherty to maneuver through the defense. Fachtna Glen Crowe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Theodore Walker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Courtown's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
