When Donlan Caffrey fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clogga's protests and gave Donlan Caffrey a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Clogga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donlan Caffrey to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute, Seosamh Ramsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Clogga defense, Torey McVictor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Banban McTommy. The Clogga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Banban McTommy should have stopped the shot. Banban McTommy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Binean McPhil's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beatty Willson in the 11th minute of play forced Clogga's goalkeeper Banban McTommy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torey McVictor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Banban McTommy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Banban McTommy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Binean McPhil in the 18th minute of the match. Banban McTommy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Binean McPhil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 minutes Clogga's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pierson Murphy who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Courtown's corner Pierson Murphy fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Banban McTommy quite easily take care of the ball. In the 39th minute, Seosamh Ramsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torey McVictor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brak Hutton made a kick off. After 54 minutes of play Clogga's Seosamh Ramsey was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Clogga's Seosamh Ramsey got a free kick in the 55th minute. Torey McVictor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Courtown's zone, Dermot Dunne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beehan McBjarton came out of the goal and Dermot Dunne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beehan McBjarton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dermot Dunne in the 84th minute of the match. Binean McPhil kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Dermot Dunne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clogga's supporters rose to their feet, but Dermot Dunne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beehan McBjarton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Torey McVictor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Clogga's zone, Torey McVictor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Banban McTommy came out of the goal and Torey McVictor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Torey McVictor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Banban McTommy made a huge save. The Courtown players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
