Bhrighde Bayes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beehan McBjarton having to interfere. A collision led to Courtown getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Danann Doherty hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half.
