Kilnacrew FC's Joseph Quinnless got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 6 minutes into the match, Courtown's goalkeeper Beehan McBjarton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joseph Quinnless. Thomas McFrancise struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Beehan McBjarton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilnacrew FC. After a defensive mix-up in Courtown's zone, Brady Caffey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beehan McBjarton came out of the goal and Brady Caffey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thomas McFrancise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joseph Quinnless received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Beehan McBjarton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Binean McPhil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 minutes of play, Kilnacrew FC's Joseph Quinnless made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Beehan McBjarton was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot 31 in the game by Joseph Quinnless from a close distance when the talented Beehan McBjarton managed to make a qualified save. Courtown's players were relieved. Beehan McBjarton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas McFrancise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Kilnacrew FC's Beehan McBjarton threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Thomas McFrancise, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Binean McPhil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donn Todd having to interfere. Kilnacrew FC's Donn Todd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Binean McPhil in the 44th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bricin Murphy during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th match minute, Kilnacrew FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bricin Murphy to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Binean McPhil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Torey McVictor got free with Donn Todd in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Donn Todd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Binean McPhil, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st match minute, Kilnacrew FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barrie Palmer to maneuver through the defense. Todd Sheridan kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Torey McVictor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Donn Todd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Thomas McFrancise came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Kilnacrew FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas McFrancise couldn't finish the play. After 71 played minutes Kilnacrew FC got a freekick which was hit by Brogan McFrancise. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Binean McPhil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Courtown's supporters rose to their feet, but Binean McPhil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donn Todd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th match minute, Courtown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danann Doherty to maneuver through the defense. If Joseph Quinnless had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Binean McPhil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Thomas McFrancise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the game, Biddy Robinson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Courtown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilnacrew FC the free kick. The supporters of Kilnacrew FC booed when Courtown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Biddy Robinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Kilnacrew FC were the better team. Kilnacrew FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
