Bunnow AFC's Beamard McBrandon got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bret McTommy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Reginald Tierney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Killycross's goal looked a bit too open when Bardain McCready came free, but Baptist Lester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Killycross's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edward McBjarton in the 33rd minute. After taking down the ball on Killycross's corner Edward McBjarton fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Reginald Tierney quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beamard McBrandon in the 35th minute of play forced Killycross's goalkeeper Baptist Lester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Henry Mullan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reginald Tierney was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a rather tough play, Killycross's Henry Mullan got a free kick in the 46th minute. Baptist Lester made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Beamard McBrandon sent off a good shot on target. When Dillon Tierney fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Killycross's protests and gave Dillon Tierney a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Killycross's Dillon Tierney got a free kick in the 47th minute. Beamard McBrandon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 49th minute of the match, but Baptist Lester made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When Tory Rutherford fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The tension between the Killycross and the Bunnow AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Beamard McBrandon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. Henry Mullan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginald Tierney having to interfere. In the 81stth minute of the game Henry Mullan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bunnow AFC's Reginald Tierney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
