Beehan McBjarton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Drumoghill's Harley McWill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beatty Willson in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th play minute Torey McVictor came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Harley McWill. 1-1. In the 37th minute, Binean McPhil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Courtown fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Courtown's Binean McPhil slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Harley McWill. That made the score 3-1 after 39 minutes of play. A collision led to Courtown getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Flann McNamee hit a great ball.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Binean McPhil was the one to do the kick off. Beatty Willson's late challenge caught a Drumoghill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beatty Willson helped the player get up and apologised. After 50 played minutes Courtown got a freekick which was hit by Beatty Willson. Binean McPhil charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Binean McPhil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 51 played minutes Courtown got a freekick which was hit by Binean McPhil. Brain Matthews blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Beehan McBjarton having to make a save. Courtown's Beatty Willson got his second yellow card of the match in the 63rd minute. The referee ordered Beatty Willson off the ground. Beatty Willson hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Fergus Hughes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Beehan McBjarton. That made the score 3-2 in the 64 minute of play. When Beccan McPhil fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Drumoghill's protests and gave Beccan McPhil a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Courtown booed when Drumoghill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beccan McPhil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Emmet Brennan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Drumoghill fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Fergus Hughes struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Beehan McBjarton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drumoghill. Binean McPhil kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Fergus Hughes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Beehan McBjarton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Drumoghill had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
