With a little luck, Scrahan's Denny Cooney got control of the ball when Barclay McLian tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 34 minutes, Finbar Martyn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ummera and the Scrahan players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Scrahan's Reidy McSteve dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Ummera's zone, Reidy McSteve stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Finian McAaron came out of the goal and Reidy McSteve tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Bola Silke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scrahan's supporters rose to their feet, but Bola Silke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Finian McAaron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
