Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Scrawtown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bearchan Lester was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Bearchan Lester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Hughes having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, Scrawtown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brandon Dillon to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th match minute, Mungairit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Cooney to maneuver through the defense. If Bodibeua Harkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Scrawtown's George Hughes got control of the ball when Bearchan Lester tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Mungairit's George Hughes threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gill Robinson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mungairit's Donegal Byrne was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but George Hughes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rowley McFrank recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Bearchan Lester dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of George Hughes, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gill Robinson got free with George Hughes in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rowley McFrank kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st match minute, Mungairit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nolen Ghee to maneuver through the defense. After 43 minutes, Rowley McFrank mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scrawtown and the Mungairit players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Bearchan Lester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bodibeua Harkin to make the kick off. Nolen Ghee's late challenge caught a Scrawtown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nolen Ghee helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, Mungairit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nolen Ghee to maneuver through the defense. After 60 played minutes Scrawtown got a freekick which was hit by Andrew McBjarton. George Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rollan Lester, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bearchan Lester in the 64th minute of play forced Scrawtown's goalkeeper George Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nolen Ghee took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for George Hughes. Scrawtown's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Donegal Byrne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. George Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bearchan Lester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. George Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donegal Byrne in the 93rd minute of the match.
