In the 6th minute of the match Tormaigh Gough sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Birr McJohnny skillfully saved the ball. Bannan MaCollin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donn McWill in the 9th minute of play. Bannan MaCollin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donncha Quinnless, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Birr McJohnny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donegal Jameson in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute, one of Coolnageragh:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Coolnageragh. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baran McPhil in the 26th minute of play forced Creggolympry's goalkeeper Bannan MaCollin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Baran McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Banon Silke charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Banon Silke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Banon Silke hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Brennen Coyle, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Berkeley Myler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 43rd minute, one of Coolnageragh:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Coolnageragh. Brennen Coyle walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donegal Jameson made a kick off. Berkeley Myler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Birr McJohnny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berkeley Myler in the 54th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Coolnageragh's Donn McWill dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Baran McPhil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Creggolympry's goalkeeper Bannan MaCollin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Creggolympry's goalkeeper Bannan MaCollin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baran McPhil got free with Bannan MaCollin in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Coolnageragh players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Creggolympry.
