Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Finnigan McDecland made the kick off which started today's match. After 19 played minutes Capppancur got a freekick which was hit by Bivadas McBjarton. Beartlai Caffey missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 21 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Bowen McBjarton right hand side. Portsalon's Don Ferguson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Portsalon from getting a goal against them. Capppancur's Bowen McBjarton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Ryan in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Capppancur booed when Portsalon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beartlai Caffey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Portsalon's Roy Branson got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Capppancur's Brennen Cronin suffered a sore thigh after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 44th match minute, Portsalon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beartlai Caffey to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Brian Ryan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brian Ryan made a kick off. Bowen McBjarton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Ryan in the 53rd minute of play. Seoirse Mulvihill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute, Brian Ryan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bowen McBjarton. The goal made the score 0-1. Portsalon's Donlan McVictor managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Darrin MaCollin in the 62 minute of the game. Brian Ryan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Brian Ryan took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bowen McBjarton. Bowen McBjarton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 72 played minutes Capppancur got a freekick which was hit by Branson McVictor. Portsalon's Brian Ryan managed to work through Capppancur's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Brian Ryan dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 80 minutes into the game, Brian Ryan lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Bowen McBjarton. After 83 played minutes Portsalon got a freekick which was hit by Donlan McVictor. Capppancur's Bowen McBjarton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Capppancur from getting a goal against them. The Capppancur fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Portsalon were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
