The referee showed Finbar Martyn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16thth minute of the game Baran McPhil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ummera's Finian McAaron was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bannon McSteven in the 21st minute of play forced Coolnageragh's goalkeeper Birr McJohnny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Banon Silke charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With a little luck, Ummera's Finian McAaron got control of the ball when Baran McPhil tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baran McPhil got free with Finian McAaron in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Coolnageragh's Donncha Quinnless got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Banon Silke got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground.
