Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bearchan Lester made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute Gill Robinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ros Gough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bunnaton AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Gill Robinson scored to the left of an out of position Ros Gough, making the score, 1-0. Bearchan Lester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute, one of Bunnaton AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bunnaton AFC. After having played for 26 minutes, Bearchan Lester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mungairit's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bearchan Lester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bearchan Lester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mungairit's Lou Willson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toren McPaul in the 42nd minute of play. If Bearchan Lester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Sheridan McPhilip made the kick off in the second half. Donegal Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mungairit's Lou Willson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Mungairit from getting a goal against them. Ros Gough showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bearchan Lester in the 56th minute of the match. Ros Gough had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Donegal Byrne's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Ros Gough didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donegal Byrne went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 61 minutes into the match, Bearchan Lester had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ros Gough. Bunnaton AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bearchan Lester was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Bearchan Lester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ros Gough having to interfere. Bunnaton AFC's Sheridan McPhilip got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Sheridan McPhilip came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Bunnaton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sheridan McPhilip couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gill Robinson in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ros Gough saved Bunnaton AFC from getting behind. Mungairit's Lou Willson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Royan Dalton in the 82nd minute of play. Mungairit's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Donegal Byrne in the 87th minute. At last the ball reached Bearchan Lester at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Bunnaton AFC. 5-0. When Boynton Colwell fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bunnaton AFC's protests and gave Boynton Colwell a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mungairit booed when Bunnaton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boynton Colwell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bearchan Lester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ros Gough having to interfere. After some careless play in the Bunnaton AFC defense, Donegal Byrne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ros Gough. The Bunnaton AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ros Gough should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mungairit had played much better football throughout.
