Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Donncha Quinnless got the match started through his kick off. Beagan Rutherford charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beagan Rutherford the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Coolnageragh's Beagan Rutherford got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Donelle Dempsey was extremely unlucky when he, in the 4th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Robin Gollogley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donelle Dempsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birr McJohnny having to interfere. Birr McJohnny acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bean Mullan. A collision led to Coolnageragh getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Banon Silke hit a great ball. Baran McPhil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Bearnad John tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bearnad John came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Coolnageragh's Donncha Quinnless. But to his dismay, Donncha Quinnless quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The Coolnageragh fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Coolnageragh's Donncha Quinnless looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Donelle Dempsey received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Birr McJohnny came out and tried to block the shot, but Donelle Dempsey slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 37th minute. A hard shot 41 in the game by Bivitas McDecland from a close distance when the talented Birr McJohnny managed to make a qualified save. Coolnageragh's players were relieved. Donelle Dempsey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donelle Dempsey in the 47th minute of play forced Coolnageragh's goalkeeper Birr McJohnny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Carrigeen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Coolnageragh were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donelle Dempsey made a kick off. After 63 minutes, Bean Mullan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carrigeen and the Coolnageragh players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Coolnageragh booed when Carrigeen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bean Mullan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Donncha Quinnless managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coolnageragh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donncha Quinnless was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carrigeen's Bearnad John proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Carrigeen from getting a goal against them. Bat Rogers's late challenge caught a Coolnageragh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bat Rogers helped the player get up and apologised. 70 minutes into the game, one of Carrigeen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Donelle Dempsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birr McJohnny having to interfere. Birr McJohnny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donelle Dempsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the game, Carrigeen's Donelle Dempsey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Birr McJohnny made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. In the 87th minute, Donncha Quinnless got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Birr McJohnny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bivitas McDecland in the 95th minute of play. The Coolnageragh players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
