Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Scrahan's Denny Cooney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donegal Jameson in the 3rd minute of play. Denny Cooney stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Berkeley Myler's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Reidy McSteve managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scrahan's supporters rose to their feet, but Reidy McSteve was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bannan MaCollin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the game, Scrahan's Bola Silke nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bannan MaCollin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 16 minutes into the game, Phelim McFrancise was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Creggolympry's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scrahan the free kick. In the 16th minute, Phelim McFrancise hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reidy McSteve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berkeley Myler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Denny Cooney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bola Silke's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bannan MaCollin firmly grabbed it by the left post. Donegal Jameson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bola Silke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute of the match, Bola Silke got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bannan MaCollin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reidy McSteve stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Carson McJames fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scrahan's protests and gave Carson McJames a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reidy McSteve in the 87th minute of play forced Creggolympry's goalkeeper Bannan MaCollin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bannan MaCollin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reidy McSteve in the 89th minute of play. Kieran McPhil hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When Scrahan's Reidy McSteve in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Creggolympry's goalie prevented a goal. The Creggolympry supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Creggolympry would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
