Becan McPeter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caroll McFrancise in the 29th minute. Kaine Silke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bevin McCready's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 36th match minute, Barroughter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eoghan Dempsey to maneuver through the defense. Bevin McCready fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaine Silke having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caroll Holt during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th minute, Caroll Holt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute, Bevin McCready got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Healey McJohnny had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Becan McPeter. Crookedwood's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Healey McJohnny was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Crookedwood's Bevin McCready got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 72 minutes, Bevin McCready managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crookedwood's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bevin McCready was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Becan McPeter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beartlai McSteve in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Crookedwood booed when Barroughter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brady Mulvihill didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Crookedwood eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
