Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tormaigh Prunty started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Beacan Quinnless made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boru McWillie in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tormaigh Prunty in the 5th minute of play forced Glantane's goalkeeper Beacan Quinnless to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basil Harkin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 7th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tormaigh Prunty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beacan Quinnless having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tormaigh Prunty in the 19th minute of play forced Glantane's goalkeeper Beacan Quinnless to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 played minutes Cloonaghboy Utd got a freekick which was hit by Barry McWillie. Glantane's Lou McFrancise got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Basil Harkin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bow Ferguson's late challenge caught a Glantane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bow Ferguson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st match minute, Cloonaghboy Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bow Ferguson to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the game, Brogan Lavine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cloonaghboy Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glantane the free kick. The supporters of Glantane booed when Cloonaghboy Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brogan Lavine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beacan Quinnless stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tormaigh Prunty's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After 42 minutes, Basil Harkin made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cloonaghboy Utd's Branson Dillon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tormaigh Prunty in the 45th minute of play forced Glantane's goalkeeper Beacan Quinnless to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Glantane's zone, Boru McWillie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beacan Quinnless came out of the goal and Boru McWillie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lou McFrancise to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Louis Todd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glantane and the Cloonaghboy Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Louis Todd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boru McWillie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Beacan Quinnless made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basil Harkin in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Branson Dillon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basil Harkin in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Branson Dillon saved Cloonaghboy Utd from getting behind. In the 71st minute, Barry McWillie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Branson Dillon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basil Harkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Beacan Quinnless took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tormaigh Prunty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tormaigh Prunty received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Beacan Quinnless came out and tried to block the shot, but Tormaigh Prunty slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 76th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Basil Harkin notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Cloonaghboy Utd's Branson Dillon. Branson Dillon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 86 minutes into the match, Glantane's Basil Harkin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Branson Dillon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lou McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Branson Dillon having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Lou McFrancise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branson Dillon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cloonaghboy Utd players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Glantane.
