Spectators: 6771 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ravan McLiam started the match with the kick off. If Rory Martyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Bradner Caffrey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belclare's supporters rose to their feet, but Bradner Caffrey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Piers Silke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Glenrovagh's Piers Silke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bragan John in the 18th minute of play. Bradner Caffrey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gearroid Dimson during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes Glenrovagh got a freekick which was hit by Gearroid Dimson. After having played for 26 minutes, Bradner Caffrey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belclare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bradner Caffrey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Piers Silke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rory Martyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Glenrovagh booed when Belclare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rory Martyn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reilley Tracy's late challenge caught a Belclare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reilley Tracy helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd minute, Reilley Tracy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sean McLian took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Piers Silke. Glenrovagh's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 36thth minute of the game Bradner Caffrey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Glenrovagh's Piers Silke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rory Martyn might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Piers Silke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rory Martyn ran back to his position shaking his head. Rory Martyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piers Silke having to interfere. If Rory Martyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 52 played minutes Glenrovagh got a freekick which was hit by Bairrionn Kirby. If Rory Martyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piers Silke came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Belclare's Bradner Caffrey. But to his dismay, Bradner Caffrey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 64th match minute, Glenrovagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiomoid McJames to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Sean McLian from long distance, 65 minutes into the match, got Piers Silke's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Torrey McBrandon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ravan McLiam in the 67th minute of play. Rory Martyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piers Silke having to interfere. Torrey McBrandon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ravan McLiam in the 77th minute of play. Don Rutherford hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Belclare left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Glenrovagh.
