Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ravan McLiam started the match with the kick off. Piers Silke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur McTommy in the 3rd minute of play. Ballinafad's Beale Palmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ravan McLiam in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of Ballinafad booed when Glenrovagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ravan McLiam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Piers Silke made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Bressal Tracy sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 23 minutes, Arthur McTommy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballinafad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arthur McTommy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute, Bressal Tracy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arthur McTommy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Piers Silke made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Bressal Tracy sent off a good shot on target. Reilley Tracy charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reilley Tracy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ballinafad booed when Glenrovagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reilley Tracy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute of the match Barram Ghee sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Piers Silke skillfully saved the ball. Piers Silke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur McTommy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ballinafad's Bearchan Dimson got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arthur McTommy made a kick off. After some careless play in the Glenrovagh defense, Bressal Tracy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Piers Silke. The Glenrovagh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Piers Silke should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kevis Dimson got free with Beale Palmer in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Piers Silke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur McTommy in the 58th minute of play. Ballinafad's Bressal Tracy got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bren Morrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Piers Silke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Arthur McTommy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Piers Silke was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Breannain Cassin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Piers Silke. Glenrovagh's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Bressal Tracy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballinafad's supporters rose to their feet, but Bressal Tracy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Piers Silke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bressal Tracy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piers Silke having to interfere. After having played for 74 minutes, Arthur McTommy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballinafad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arthur McTommy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arthur McTommy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arthur McTommy in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Piers Silke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute, Arthur McTommy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballinafad's goalkeeper Beale Palmer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ballinafad's Arthur McTommy got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Piers Silke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur McTommy in the 89th minute of play. Glenrovagh's Piers Silke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur McTommy in the 91st minute of play. If Bressal Tracy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Piers Silke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bressal Tracy went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Ballinafad players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
