Spectators: 6769 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) Galros's Sameer McPhilip started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Galros's Donahue McWillie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Becc McAlphie in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of Ardaghy booed when Galros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beltany Coyle didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, Beollan Harkin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Galros getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Roy O'Neill hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, Galros's goal looked a bit too open when Becc McAlphie came free, but Donahue McWillie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Becc McAlphie in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donahue McWillie saved Galros from getting behind. In the 12th match minute, Galros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beltany Coyle to maneuver through the defense. Bardon Cronin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute Antaine Frankson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gordan McPeter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Becc McAlphie in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donahue McWillie saved Galros from getting behind. When Beltany Coyle fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galros's protests and gave Beltany Coyle a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Galros got a freekick which was hit by Beltany Coyle. After 27 played minutes Trien McTom rounded Galros's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. In the 31st match minute, Galros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy O'Neill to maneuver through the defense. Sameer McPhilip fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gordan McPeter having to interfere. Bardon Cronin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gordan McPeter having to interfere. In the 48thth minute of the game Antaine Frankson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ardaghy's Gordan McPeter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Becc McAlphie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antaine Frankson got free with Gordan McPeter in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Gordan McPeter managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Galros's Antaine Frankson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Antaine Frankson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute of the match Danann Mulvihill shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donahue McWillie showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Donahue McWillie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Becc McAlphie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Becc McAlphie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donahue McWillie was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Seosamh McNamee hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Donahue McWillie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beollan Harkin in the 76th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Antaine Frankson in the 80th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 83rd minute, Beollan Harkin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Beollan Harkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Beltany Coyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gordan McPeter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of Galros's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Galros may have spent more time on the ball, but Ardaghy were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
